THE CREATIVE CHATEAU BRIDAL SESSION
Christine Gosch + Ode to Joy Flowers
This one is a good’n! If you’re a fan of neutral flowy gowns, perfect and fluffy roses, and European inspired wedding inspiration, this one is for you!
I don’t know if you’ve heard of Ode to Joy Flowers by Yana K in Houston, but she and her floral work are all things sophisticated, elegant, and beautiful. Everything in it’s place. I always think of royalty. She just presents herself and her work in such an elevated fashion, yet she is just the most kind and easy going person. So if you want to feel like a queen on your wedding day, Yana is your girl!
Yana purchased an Emily Riggs gown for her sister’s upcoming nuptials overseas and wanted to document the occasion. Rightfully so! Emily Riggs gowns are incredibly hard to get a hold of if you want to photograph them, so this is the first (and most likely, last) time I photographed one. The movement in the skirt is like, next level. The most smooth and flowy material that I’ve worked with to date, and I’ve seen many, many, MANY flowy gowns as a wedding photographed over the last 8+ years. This movement of the skirt is something that Yana really wanted captured, alongside her royal flowers.
So this perfect, sunny afternoon at The Creative Chateau was spent making sure the gown always had some movement in the fabric, even if we were sitting still. The space only elevated the look more, with it’s European inspired architecture and light, bright interior spaces. Everything about her bouquet was spot on, from the choice of florals to the color palette. Bespoken Beauty did the beautiful hair and makeup for Yana’s shoot and did an effortless look pairing the beautiful chignon style hairstyle with the fresh makeup look.
Per usual, if you read all the way through the post, thank you! You get a gold star!
